Fishing Report- Updated November 16, 2009 Williamson river- Closed Wood River- Closed Upper Rogue River- There is still plenty of steelhead being caught. Nymphing heavily weighted stoneflies with copper johns, Princes, and egg pattern droppers are usually a good bet. Klamath Lake- We’ve received good reports from the Eagle Ridge and Pelican Bay areas lately. There has also been a few fish caught in the Pelican Marina area. Slowly strip olive, black and purple seal buggers on a slow sinking intermediate line. Don’t forget to try all white wooly buggers. Klamath River- (Clearwater section)- This is great territory for two through four weight rods. Nymphing copper johns, PT’s, Hares Ears, Princes and all the other old standby’s always does the trick for these smaller bur feisty native redbands. Klamath River - (Keno section)- Fishing has been great!!! Swinging black/purple articulated leeches, brown muddy buddies, and olive or white wooly buggers on type 3/type 6 sink tips has resulted in many aggressive takes lately. Nymphing heavily weighted stoneflies and October Caddis Pupa with size 14 copper john and prince nymph droppers has also resulted in many fish.
